ECLAC, o CEPAL en español, is a regional commission of the United Nations Economic and Social Council charged with promoting economic and social development in Latin America and the Caribbean. Delegates in this committee will make use of parliamentary procedure and gain a greater understanding of the operation of the UN outside of the General Assembly as they seek to represent the beliefs of their respective countries and governments and push forward the interests of Latin America and its people.
